APC Board Meeting Feb 8
The Academic Policy Committee (APC) governs Family Partnership Charter School. The APC selects the Chief Administrator and oversees financial, legal and academic operations of the school to ensure the fulfillment of its mission.
Monday, February 8, 2021 @ 5:30 p.m. is your next chance to get involved - you're a stakeholder in Family Partnership Charter School! Public comment may be emailed to any APC Board Member.

The APC Board is looking for 2 parents (3-year term) and 2 high school students (1-year term) to be seated June 2021. If interested, please email jutic@icloud.com for more information.
The APC needs you!
The APC is driven by our families, who make decisions for our school and guide the Principal in creating policies that are family and homeschool friendly. The APC oversees accountability of academics, legal/risk management, finances, operations/maintenance, and capital budgeting issues of The Family Partnership Charter School. Please consider watching a few APC board meetings (live or recorded).
2021 APC ELECTION TIMELINE
- APPLICATIONS due March 31 –IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN RUNNING FOR AN APC BOARD SEAT, you must email Jewelene Utic jutic@icloud.com to notify the election committee of your interest and receive an application. Completed applications must be received by March 31st.
- Monday, April 12– candidate information will be posted on school website, via email, and linked to school Facebook page.
- Thursday, April 22 @ 6:00pm– The APC will host a public Zoom meeting for the candidates to introduce themselves and take questions. Below, please find the zoom invite:

- Tuesday, May 11– Results will be announced at the regularly scheduled May APC meeting held that evening at 5:30pm. Winners will be seated in the first meeting in June following the election.

What is AKCIS?
An exploration of the AKCIS portfolio, including how students work with the interactive postsecondary planning tools. AKCIS.org helps students answer these questions: Who am I? Where am I going? How do I get there? Components we will cover include: Checklists, Career Plan, Favorites, Sort and Assessment Results, Resume Creator, and Stored Files and Links.

Reader's Theater Workshops
Anna Roys, FPCS Sponsor Teacher, will lead two Reader's Theater Workshops. You can attend with your children so they can participate in the Reader's Theater or by yourself to learn how to lead a reader's theater in your home. Contact Anna (roys_anna@asdk12.org) for more information on Reader's Theater. If you would like to observe or participate, please contact your Sponsor Teacher.
