Septmeber 3, 2023 - Week Three
A Note From the Office
Concord Families,
We just completed our first full week of school and many routines and systems are starting to run pretty smooth. Many of you may have noticed that our dismissal process is getting wrapped up around 3:45 pm. (What a celebration). We are also excited to share that our buses seem to be arrive on a pretty regular schedule. We closed out last week with all students being on their bus and off campus by 4 pm. While we have some room to improve, we are really happy with how things are going.
Classroom teachers have begun sending out communication regarding grade level curriculum and details regarding your child's classroom this year. All families should be looped in my the end of the week! Please reach out to the teacher with questions!

Arrival Request
We kindly request your assistance in ensuring that your student arrives at school on time. Timely drop-offs are essential not only for your child's academic progress but also for the overall classroom experience. Arriving on time allows students to settle in, participate in morning routines, and engage fully in the day's activities from the very beginning.
Here are a few tips to help streamline the drop-off process:
Set a Routine: Establish a consistent morning routine that allows for ample time to get ready and reach school without feeling rushed.
Plan Ahead: Prepare lunches, backpacks, and any necessary materials the night before to avoid last-minute delays.
Traffic Awareness: Be mindful of traffic patterns and consider leaving a bit earlier during peak congestion times.
Open Communication: If unexpected circumstances do arise that might lead to a late arrival, please communicate with the school's front office or your child's teacher to inform them of the situation.
Intruder Drill Information
We will be conducting an intruder drill on September 7, 2023. Ensuring that we are prepared in all situations is the best way to keep our students safe. We believe it is important to practice our response plan together, the same way we prepare for a tornado, earthquake or fire incident.
Our staff members have been trained in the option-based program to respond to dangerous intruders. During an intruder drill, teachers and students have two options to respond to a threat in the school:
Use a safe route to evacuate the building
Go into lockdown, which means locking classroom doors, turning off lights, barricading the door, and remaining out of sight
These drills are not designed to scare students; rather, our goal is to help them prepare and feel safe at school under any circumstance. Lindbergh Schools is committed to keeping students safe and we believe this training will greatly enhance our level of emergency preparedness.
Please feel free to contact the office if you have any questions.

Please Check Infinite Campus for Bus Route Changes
As we enter the third week of school, it is important that all families who use bus transportation log in to Infinite Campus on Monday, Sept. 5, and check their student’s pickup and drop-off times, and bus stop location. Routes will be adjusted this weekend, with updated information available on Monday, Sept. 5.
During the first weeks of school, the district works closely with our transportation provider First Student to make adjustments to bus routes, add new riders and create a schedule that is efficient, safe and reliable. Some minor adjustments may be possible as a result.
A good rule of thumb is to allow about 10 minutes of flexibility from the scheduled pickup and drop-off times, in case a bus is running early or taking a few extra minutes to arrive.
