Free and Reduced-Price Meal News
As a reminder, LVISD transitioned back to Free and Reduced-Price Meals for the 22-23 school year. The federal government is no longer funding the free lunch program, which was part of the COVID-19 pandemic aid package. All families are encouraged to fill out the Free and Reduced-Price Meals applications. If your child previously received free or reduced-priced meals, a new application must be received to determine if your child still qualifies. Previous free and reduced-meal eligibility has now expired. You can fill out the Free & Reduced Meal application online at MySchoolApps by clicking on the following link (available in multiple languages in top right corner):
For questions regarding applications, please contact Michelle Jackson, and for questions regarding student purchases, please contact Jennifer Porter.

Booster Club Corner
Important Info and Reminders from the Booster Club Board
Tonight’s game vs Giddings is HOMECOMING, so please come ready to be rowdy and show
your Viking Spirit! Homecoming is an exciting time for our community, and we are expecting a
much larger crowd than last week. As always, on game day, if you have any questions or
concerns, please stop by the concession stand where there will always be a Board Member to
assist you. Here are a few tips and reminders:
PARKING
Unless you are an Ultimate Valhalla Member and have paid for reserved parking, please DO
NOT park in a reserved spot (they are marked by a numbered flag). We will have parking
attendants on hand to assist you. If you have paid for reserved parking, please bring your spot
number with you to the game.
GAME ENTRY
- Your Booster Club Membership (no matter the level) does not include free
admission/tickets to games, and there is not a "pass list" for booster club members. All attendees must purchase tickets online.
- If you are attending the game as a volunteer ONLY, please email
lvvikingbooster@gmail.com so we can add you to the pass list. If you are serving in
volunteer capacity but also plan on staying and watching any portion of the game as a
fan, you must purchase a ticket. This is a LVISD policy that we must abide by.
FOOD PICK-UP
For memberships that include food choices (Victor Viking, LV Viking, Viking Warrior, and
Ultimate Valhalla):
- Please pick up your food at the Valhalla window (under the blue awning, next to the
merchandise booth) at your previously selected pick-up time. Food will be released once
those time slots have passed.
- Please pick up full orders (no partial pick-ups).
- If you signed up for a game and decide not to attend or choose not to use your meals for
any games, please email lvvikingbooster@gmail.com by Wednesday morning in
advance of the game.
UPCOMING EVENTS
- Don't forget to register for our 1st Members' Night Out with Darling Art School on
Saturday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m. Choose to paint a Viking or plain coffee cup!
Register by clicking here.
- Scoreboard, Viking Sports Network, and Lone Star Gridiron sponsorships are still
available. Reach out to lvvikingbooster@gmail.com if you are interested.
- Stay tuned for “Member Mondays” where we will highlight a booster club member who
has gone above and beyond in service and “Where Are They Wednesdays” which will
highlight former booster club scholarship recipients.
