Black History Month

For the month of February, teachers have prepared lessons for students to learn about many famous African Americans. 5th Grade Students completed research projects and created powerpoints to add to the slide show that is displayed outside the second floor hallway.

Attached is a great resource provided by our Librarian for Black History Month.

The interactive map gives you a famous African American for each state.

Feb. 7-11 National School Counseling Week

The purpose of this week is to highlight the job of the counselor and the impact the counselor makes on the lives of students and the collaboration with the faculty, staff, and community. The students, faculty, and staff celebrated Mrs. Chesley "Willie" Crider all week.

Teachers Making a Difference

Mrs. Tonya Thomas led a faculty fundraiser for eCO Credit Union to help raise money for children that are impacted with cancer. She was nominated by the #ecommunity for supporting children beyond the classroom and within the community. We are so thankful for Mrs. Thomas and our staff dedication to support students and everyone's contribution toward this Children's Hospital fundraiser through eCo Credit Unit.

Thanks to Mrs. Thomas for being a true "Difference Maker".
She is definitely "SWARMING"!!!

Parent Culture and Climate Surveys- Spring 2022

It's that time of the year where all JEFCOED Schools Complete the Culture and Climate Surveys.

The purpose of this survey is to identify strengths, areas of concern, and to plan for future growth in your child's school.

Read each statement and choose the response that most closely matches your opinion.

Please answer each item honestly. Your responses will be completely confidential.

Your opinion is important to us as we make decisions for our school.

March Opportunities- Possible Parent and Student Lunch Visits

We hope to allow lunch with students in March. There will be specific dates for grade levels.

We will continue to monitor our daily absentee list due to illnesses and we will continue to monitor our daily school procedures to see if we can allow this opportunity.

More information will be sent out after a week's worth of monitoring to determine if this is possible.
