What's Happening Week of November 12, 2018
Catholic Schools Week!!!
Our week started off with our School Mass honoring our local First Responders. We are very thankful to the Leominster Police Department and the MA State Police for sending representatives to attend Mass with us. These departments were presented with a plaque of appreciation from the students of St. Anna.
We also had a Reptile show and many students got to take part as volunteers, having their hair 'smelled' by the tongue of a lizard, holding a 50lb boa, and helping to handle the alligator. All of our students enjoyed this engaging program. Thank you to the Friends of St Anna PTO for sponsoring this program that was enjoyed by all.
Who knew we had so many talented students at SAS? I think we did, but it was in full force at our annual Talent Show. I am so proud of all our young people for their courage and taking a risk to get up in front of their peers and show off their talents. We had signing, jokes, gymnastics, dancing, skits, comedy, line dancing and more. It always leaves us waiting for more next year!
The highlight of the week was probably the student-faculty volleyball game. There's always something exciting about students getting to play against their teachers! The crowd gets us all going with their cheering and support.
And now we are all ready for a well deserved 3 day weekend to celebrate our Veterans. Rest up as the Teachers are ready to get back to business as usual next week.
Please do not block the rectory drive way during pick up- leave space for the cars to get out. Thank you
NJHS is collecting Items for our Veteran's!

If you are willing and able to bake a cake, cupcakes, pie, cookies, breads, or any other “sweet” which the students can sell during parent conferences, please contact Mrs. Priddy
And don't forget to stop by the sale when you come to conferences! Lots of delicious treats for everyone.

Turkey Trot fun run is coming!
Students in grades K-2 will run laps around the lawn across the street where we now have some gym classes. Mr. Farnsworth will have a 'track' marked with cones. Volunteers help tally the number of laps they complete while they are cheered on by the preschoolers and older students.
Students in grades 3-8 then complete their turkey trot race on a route that goes from the in front of the church, down sixth street, across middle and eventually finishes back in front of the church where the other students are able to cheer them on as they cross the finish!
ALL students in K-8 are welcome to sign up to race.
Mrs. Priddy is also looking for helpers to supervise along the route or track the younger students' laps. Please email her if you’re able to help that morning.
