Moving From High Expectations to Excellence!

On Monday morning, Batesville Elementary received a check for $100,000 from the Charles Butt Foundation. Our team is bubbling with excitement at what this opportunity means for our students. For our rural community, this is support that is unique and quite definitely a driver that can redefine the academic outcomes of an entire generation. We have outlined five priorities for this funding: (1) Campus Leadership Development, (2) Technology Proficiency Development- school, students, and families as Partners in Education; (3) Literacy Development for Excellence (bringing literacy mentors to support Batesville to support Reading initiatives; (4) Family/Community Development- after school parent/community center activities (GED/Certifications); and Public Service Mission- Character development (PBIS & the 4Bs). With outstanding partnerships, such as the Charles Butt Foundation, we will continue to enhance and nurture a culture of innovation and a relentless commitment to excellence for our students. We are extremely thankful to Charles Butt for the generous education grant in honor of his mother, Mary Elizabeth Butt.
