Student Council Gives...
The Student Council made 48 lunch bags for HOPE Community Services.
The lunch bags included 1 water bottle, 1 bag of chips and a ham or turkey sandwich.
These items were purchased with funds raised when Student Council hosted 6th Grade Movie night on October 20th.
The ALMS Super Smash Bros. Club had its first tournament on Friday October 28th. A total of 20 participants across all three grades battled it out for the coveted Full Moon trophy. For some, this was their first tournament! The competition was fierce, the matches were intense, and controllers became very sweaty. In the end, only one person could stand tall as the champion; 8th grader Nick Ensuncho took home the gold in another stellar performance. 8th grader Claude Fernandez came in 2nd place and 8th grader Andrew Jean-Baptise came in 3rd place, earning the bronze. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all that participated!
CANDY WAR
- Runs from Tuesday 11/1 through Tuesday 11/15.
- Every 7th period/Day 1 Class will be given a brown paper bag.
- The day after Halloween all students will be encouraged to donate some of their Halloween candy AND/OR the candy their parents have left over from lack of trick/treaters.
- Students will drop their candy into the brown bag in their 7th period class.
- The class that collects the most pounds of candy wins the war and will get a reward
- On the last day of collection 11/15 an announcement will be made 7th period, for all teachers to staple their bag closed and have a student bring it to the cafeteria.
- A PTA representative from each grade will collect the bags. We will weigh the candy and declare a 6th, 7th and 8th grade winning class
- All the candy collected will be donated to Hope Community Kitchen here in New Rochelle.

Chromebook Responsibilities
To ALMS Parents and Students,
As a Middle School student, you are required to come to school with your district-provided chromebook charged. The district-provided chromebook is also your responsibility; if it's in your backpack, locker, on a bus, or at home, you must keep it protected from being damaged or lost/stolen.
Please refer to the AUP and Device Loaner Form, which you have signed with your parent/guardian, and review the terms and conditions listed on the form both inside and outside of school. If you have not already signed the AUP and/or Loaner Form, please click on the link above.
To all parents/guardians, please speak with your child regarding Chromebook care and responsibilities. Some of the computers are damaged due to students spilling liquids, tossing them to the ground during recess, getting knocked around in a backpack, or dropping them. Damaged Chromebooks are subject to fees. You may want to consider purchasing a case as was indicated on the school supply list.
You can refer to our Acceptable Use Policy and Device Loaner Form (linked above) for the CSDNR policy.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
