It gives examples to show the way the literature is supposed to be set up and how in the essays there should be shown voice and depth. The expository essay is a genre of essay that requires the student to investigate an idea, evaluate evidence, expound on the idea, and set forth an argument concerning that idea in a clear and concise manner.
When do you use expository writings and why?
The purpose of the expository essay is to explain a topic in a logical and straightforward manner. Without bells and whistles, expository essays present a fair and balanced analysis of a subject based on facts—with no references to the writer’s opinions or emotions. Expository writing is a type of writing that is used to explain, describe, give information or inform.
