Summer School Update

April 15, 2021

RE: Summer School at Cape Tech

Dear Parents/Guardians:

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that we are currently solidifying plans to offer an in-person Summer School at Cape Tech during the month of July. Two classes will be offered each morning for a total of 16 days. The dates for summer school are highlighted on the calendar below. The first session in the morning will run from 8:00 am - 9:30 am and the second session will run from 9:30 am - 11:00 am. Cape Cod Tech is planning to offer a busing route for the summer program similar to our late bus route. The bus will pick up and drop off students at designated stops along the Route 6 corridor.

The projected fee is $150.00 for each summer school class and Cape Tech will refund $50.00 for each course in which a student scores a grade of ā€œCā€ or better.

Please know that summer school may be offered in your sending districts and you may choose to avail yourself of those offerings. More detailed information about the Cape Tech Summer School Program will be provided to families following the April vacation week.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Best regards,

Cape Cod Tech's 2020 School Report Card

Families and communities are critical partners to a school's success. Just as a student's report card shows how they are performing, the school report card shows how a school is performing in multiple areas. It shows the school's strengths and the challenges that need to be addressed to ensure the school is meeting the needs of all students. New Look on The Website

Our website has changed. Please check out the new "digs" at capetech.us A special thank you goes to Scott Nagle for the design and implementation of the new site. He has worked extensively on this, and it shows. Great work. For information specifically for students or for parents see the links on the new site at the top right of the front page.

What do I do if I need to quarantine?

If you need to quarantine due to travel, proximity to a person ill, or possibly even a positive test result, please continue to access your learning remotely. This is not an option. If you do not access your classes (academic or technical) remotely you will receive 0 for the expected work and be marked absent.

If you are isolating due to illness, a counselor will speak to your parent or guardian and make a plan.
