Who was she?
Elizabeth as the daughter of Anne Boleyn and King Henry VII. She surrounded herself with strong advisors, the most important being William Cecil, the Lord Burghley who helped her complete the Protestant revolution in England.
Protestant or Catholic?
The majority of England practiced Catholicism, but Queen Elizabeth wanted to convert her citizens to Anglicanism. She incorporated the Protestant doctrine into the church of England. Elizabeth worked on the Anglican Compromise to help make the transition to Protestantism. She issued the thirty nine articles, which is a defining statement of the Anglican doctrine.
Queen Elizabeth's role in the Reformation
She made England flourish and dominate in power through wars, political and religious turmoil.
