TSI
TSI (Texas Success Initiative) Assessment
The TSI Assessment is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help colleges and universities determine if students are ready for college-level coursework in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics. Students will be able to sign up and take the TSI Assessment in the College and Career Center. Students will also be able to visit the College and Career Center to take practice TSI exams. Sealy ISD will pay for the initial test for students. This will include one test in each of the three areas. If students need to retake any of the sections of tests, they will be able to do that in the College and Career Center but the cost will be the responsibility of the student at 10.00 per test.
How to sign up for the TSI at the College Center?
1. Complete the Pre- Assessment Activity that is mandatory.
2. For ONSITE TSI- Sign up for the TSI test here.
3. For REMOTE TSI- (available from home 24/7)- please complete the PAA and send an email to us at ccc@sealyisd.com to schedule the remote test. (Proctoring cost is paid by the student via Examity which is 25.00)
Cost for TSI
The cost for taking the TSI for the first time is 10.00- this is for all three sections.
The cost for retaking any of the three sections is 5.00 should you want to raise your score.
All SENIORS get their first test session FREE.
How can you study for the TSI?
What happens after I take the TSI?
Once you have completed the TSI you will be asked to provide the College Career Center with your Sealy ISD email. Your test results will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
Instructions to find your scores
If you were successful on the TSI, and wish to have you scores sent directly to a college you may reply to the email stating so.
If you were unsuccessful, you will be asked to complete the TSI retest practice book prior to rescheduling your next administration.
