Meals on Wheels Partners with WRJH Students
We have partnered with LifeCare Alliance’s Meals on Wheels program to help keep our aging neighbors in their homes...where they want to be. Our students have the opportunity to physically see the “good” they are doing for their community by handing over a hot meal to someone in need. WRJH has adopted a route of 6-8 seniors who we deliver hot meals to once a week. We currently have multiple WRJH students and families who deliver to our community seniors.
Parents or guardians are asked to pick up meal containers at Parkview Presbyterian Church at 6969 E. Livingston Ave. The parent/guardian will then come and sign his or her child out for their lunch and recess period. Together, meals will be delivered. After meals are delivered, students are dropped back off to school, and the parent/guardian returns the empty meal containers to the church. Start to finish, this would take approximately 50 minutes.
If this is something you and your family might be interested in, please contact Ms. Knight at amber.knight@reyn.org. Thank you for being a part of our mission to put a smile on everyone’s face while partnering with Meals on Wheels!

Kids and Smartphones
There are many factors contributing to anxiety and depression in youth, but have you ever thought that you child’s smartphone could be the cause of this? New information states that there may be a correlation between smartphones and your child’s mental health. Even researchers who aren’t ready to slam smartphones just yet say it’s important to restrict an adolescent’s device habit and that too much social media is likely harmful.
