Giraffes Can't Dance
Second Grade
Drawing Using Shapes
The second graders are becoming experts in using basic shapes to draw complicated forms! For this project the students pulled inspiration from the book Giraffes Can't Dance by Giles Andreae. The main character in the story, Gerald gets teased for not being a very good dancer but he perseveres and finds his own "beat".
The students worked hard to persevere and improve their drawing skills by drawing their own dancing giraffe by breaking it down to basic shapes!
