John Quincy Adams
6th president of the United States.
Biography
John was the first president to be the son of another president. he was born in braintree Massachusetts in 1767 he past away February 26th 1846. John graduated from harvard as a lawyer and then by age 26 was appointed to minister of the netherlands. During his presidency he proclaimed the idea of connecting the nation with a system similar to highways an canals making transit easier. This led to the completion of the erie canal. He also urged the nation in the direction of arts and science with the creation of universities and other programs. through out his campaign he was accused of treason for various reasons but was never convicted.

One thing that was an issue in his presidency was that he was believed to have made a deal with a running mate that later led to him being accused of treason but never convicted. John adams during his presidency was not very favored. He was not one to compromise causing grid lock within the nation at some points.
He would still be electable today but he wasn't very popular with the people so it probably wouldn't happen.

- A reporter was repeatedly denied access to interview him so durning on of his morning swims took all of his clothes sat on them and made him do an interview to get them back.
- Adams is the only president to be elected to the House after his presidency.
- Adams had a son who at the age of 28 committed suicide.
