SIXTH FORM SUMMER BALL
The Sixth Form Summer Ball this year will be on Thursday 30 June, from 7:30 to 11:30pm at Lillibrooke Manor, Ockwells Road, Cox Green, Maidenhead SL6 3LP.
This year the event will also include a two-course meal. Exact timings and menu details have not yet been finalised but it promises to be a very exciting evening.
At the start of next week, all students in years 12 and 13 will receive an email directing them to a simple Google Form to be completed. ALL students must complete this form by Monday 20 June at the latest. We need to know exact numbers for settling the final bill and we also need the chosen menu options. Please complete even if you are not going, so you can be crossed off the list. The form is very simple and should only take a minute to complete.
If any students are unsure if they have paid or want clarification on how much they owe, please speak to Mr Crawley. Please make any cheques payable to ‘Claires Court Sixth Form Social Club’.
Summer Fete on Saturday 25 June
This year the theme of our fete is 'The Great Outdoors', a theme inspired by the allotment and bushcraft projects the PTA have recently supported. If you, or anyone you know, would like to take a stall at this year’s event please contact me at emmarobertson@hotmail.co.uk. We are also looking for a number of raffle prizes. If you are able to contribute something please contact me at the same address.
If you pay online then please remember to send in your prize draw entry to the school office and it also assists us with how many tickets you require. Please click here for the ticket order form
Special Attraction at the Summer Fete
On Saturday 25 June, as part of our celebration of the great outdoors, we are being visited by the Great Gun Dog Company and their wonderful dogs.
They will be giving demonstrations on how to handle and train the dogs. Pupils (aged 3 to 12) who wish to learn how to 'work' the dogs are then invited to practice the commands that they see in the demonstration.
After the event, two or three children will be selected and given certificates as finalists and will have the opportunity to progress to the ISA Gundog Challenge national final at the Midland Game Fair on the17th September 2016. All finalists, along with parents, will receive free passes to the weekend event. More information
There is also an opportunity for pupils to take part in a poster competition. All they have to do is download the template– get creative and draw their dream playground and bring the final poster to the fete. The best winning entry for the poster design will win a £20 Amazon voucher.
