NCCVT MISSION
To provide superior Career and Technical Education enabling all students to achieve their aspirations.
CTE PRIME
In partnership with the Delaware Department of Education, our application for the Youth Apprenticeship Readiness Grant has been approved ($260,000). The grant will support efforts to develop early apprenticeship opportunities for our students with existing business partners and to recruit new ones, as well as to provide links to increase the number of our secondary CTE students who choose to continue their post-secondary study in our registered apprenticeship programs in the Adult Education division. Supporting us in this effort are valued partners M. Davis and Sons, RC Fabricators, and Nickle Electric.
Special thanks to Colleen and Jack for working with DOE and creating this great opportunity for our students.

Going Beyond...
#NCCVTWorks for Equity in Action.
You have by now or you will soon receive your copy of the Courageous Conversations book. We will read this over the next two months and do our best to embrace this powerful work.
Above is the The Courageous Conversation Compass which is the fourth condition. I share it here because of its overall importance in this work since it is used to guide conversations. I will be sending out additional directions regarding our book study this week.
To start our journey, please take a few minutes and watch this keynote from 2013. It will help explain the compass, but more importantly the power behind these conversations and what we are really trying to achieve.
