Looking Ahead
This week's quote is "There's a discipline for passion: it's not about how many times you get rejected or fall down and get beaten up, but how many times you stand up, and are brave and you keep going." -Lady Gaga (Oscar Speech for Best Original Song "Shallow")
Thank you Ms. Slawecki for sharing with us these powerful words.
i-Ready has two free apps
Door 24 Plus compliments Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready Diagnostic & Instruction program. Students can use the app at home to engage in personalized and game-based learning.
World's Worst Pet (WWP)- Students follow the story of Snargg, possibly the world's worst pet, as they attempt to get him home. In order to get him there, they must complete a series of vocabulary challenges and watch Snargg get into various antics. The vocabulary words are organized into levels and sets. According to developers, World's Worst Pet targets Tier Two and domain-specific words, which simply means it focuses on relevant vocabulary words.
State Testing is on the Horizon
Students will have two unit session of ELA (90 minutes for grades 4/5, 75 minutes for grade 3) and three unit sessions (60 minutes each session for all grades) of math. Each unit will be conducted on separate days.
Donations are needed!
