COVID-19 Closure Update for OPS
Good afternoon, Otsego families,
In our morning call with local superintendents and the health department, we learned that another positive case of COVID-19 was reported in Allegan County and our total is three (3). The rest of the meeting focused on next steps with learning after spring break in anticipation of the Executive Order from the Governor tomorrow.
With the upcoming Executive Order concerning the closure of school my hope is a number of your questions posed yesterday on our facebook page will be answered. As we move forward we’ll continue to provide answers to your questions through our daily updates and/or through our COVID-19 webpage.
I’m sure that all of you received a mailer in the past couple weeks concerning the upcoming May 5, election. Governor Whitmer has put forth an Executive Order in how the election will be handled. Her order stresses that this election be done by mail as much as possible through absentee voting. It was important to us that everyone who wants to vote, be able to vote, and this process allows that to happen. We have created a newsletter with the information for you, which is linked in today’s attachment in your text or email. I will also be doing an informational bond presentation tomorrow, Thursday, at Noon on Facebook Live on the OPS Facebook page. I hope you can join me.
