Panther Pride

District Newsletter 11/21/2021

Message from the Superintendent

Dear Panther Families,

On Thursday, November 18th, we had an incident at the High School involving an unusual odor, which resulted in our students and staff being dismissed while the source of the odor was determined. An update was provided after students and staff were dismissed, indicating that the odor was due to a science-related activity. We would like to clarify that while it was indeed a science-related activity that caused the odor, the science department was not the department that was conducting the activity.

Thank you to all of our High School staff members for helping to ensure everyone’s safety on Thursday. Thank you to our transportation department and bus drivers for their good care and prompt responsiveness in helping to pick up our students to return home. Also, special thanks to our food services staff for their quick work in providing grab and go lunches for our CP Technical High School students. Thanks to all of our wonderful teachers, staff, and students for their help and cooperation during the evacuation!

On behalf of the School Board and staff, we would like to wish you all a wonderful Fall Break and a very Happy Thanksgiving.

We have much to be thankful for -- great families, great students, and wonderful teachers! If you are traveling, I wish you a safe and happy holiday with family and friends.

Fondly,

Donna
