American patriot known for warning the colonists about the arrival of British troops. Thanks to the warning colonial militia received, locals were ready for British troops when they arrived at Lexington and Concord. The resulting skirmish began the fighting of the American Revolutionary War.
Born 1773. Revere worked as a silversmith and engraver. As a silversmith he crafted teapots, made jewelry, mugs, serving platters and carvings.
