Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is our parish festival and will be on October 4 & 5, 2019. Parish festivals require a lot of volunteers to be successful. Please consider volunteering in an area that you feel utilizes your individual gifts and talents, which greatly benefits our parish and school. It is a rewarding experience to volunteer alongside your fellow parishioners and is a great way to meet new people. We ask that each school family either buy or sell at least one Oktoberfest Raffle Ticket no matter how many students that you have at Holy Name School. Raffle tickets are $100. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold! You can also check with friends and family and go in together to buy a ticket. Each family who buys or sells at least one ticket will get an entire week out of uniform during the week of Oktoberfest for all of their students. Raffle tickets can be purchased through the School office.

If you are having trouble selling a ticket, please call Lisa Teney for leads. 317-650-7819

Oktoberfest Sign Up Genius

The Holy Name Oktoberfest is only a success with everyone's help! Volunteering at the event is fun and a really great way to get to know other school and church families. The link to the Oktoberfest Volunteer Sign-up Genius is now posted on the Holy Name Oktoberfest website at https://www.holyname.cc/oktoberfest, or directly at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D44AFA728A3FB6-holy1. While on the Oktoberfest website, be sure to download the 2019 Oktoberfest T-Shirt Order Form. Oktoberfest t-shirts are only $10 each (Adult Sizes Small-XL) or $12 each (Adult Sizes 2XL-4XL). T-shirts must be ordered by September 16th.

Food Committee

The Oktoberfest Food Committee is in need of large electric roasters for our upcoming festival on October 4-5. Please consider letting us borrow yours for this huge event! The sizing would need to be greater than 18 quarts (22 quarts would be preferable). You can drop these off, labeled with your name and phone number, to the Parish Office, the School Office, or after Mass to anyone selling tickets or t-shirts. Prior to dropping it off, please contact Robin Prendergast at 317-443-6855. You will be contacted after the Oktoberfest to have your roaster returned to you. Thank you in advance for your support!

We Still Need Room Parents!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to be a room parent! We are still short on room parents for PK3, 3rd, 6th and 8th grades. Many of the staff are being room parents for each other, so we need enough volunteers to cover the classrooms. Everyone who volunteered for the school year should have been contacted by Lisa Rizzi by email. If you have not heard from her, your message may have been lost in the shuffle between Jupiter, the office and Lisa. Please contact her at Lisarizzi@hotmail.com or 317–441–4068. Thank you for supporting your Giants!

Box Tops For Education

Box Tops for Education is a major fundraiser for Holy Name School. If you haven't noticed yet, the clippable Box Tops are being replaced by images that remind you to scan your receipt. NOTE: You need to download the App and only have 14 days to scan your receipt. It is super easy! 1. Download 2. Choose Holy Name School (easiest to find by searching by zip code 46107) 3. Scan receipt. You can scan all receipts, whether you think purchased select products or not. It will automatically calculate and add the earning to Holy Name's account in real time. Since I didn't know this last month, I have a handful of new box tops and no receipts to prove it. If I did find my receipts, it would be too late (you only have 14 days!). Good News: Not all products have completed the Box Top transition, so for the next 2 months, it is possible to clip box top AND scan a receipt and Holy Name will earn double
