DuBois was a successful student.He was the very first African American to graduate his high school and Harvard University. Although before he went to Harvard he went to Frisk University, and then transferred because he could not afford to go.
Early Careers
DuBois was a famous author and he wrote many books. One of his books was "The Soul of Black Folks". It was written in 1903 and is about race and ethnicity in the United States. Some of many book include, Three Negro Classics, Darkwater: Voices from Within the Veil, The Philadelphia Negro: A Social Study, and Dark Princess.
He had many other jobs such as being a teacher, publisher, splitting wood, shoveling coal, editor of the N.A.A.C.P, and sold tea at a local A & P store.
