Read Across America - March 4-8
Boyd will be celebrating Read Across America March 4-8. Our theme will be “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”
Each day we will hear a book with a different setting from across America. Students will be allowed to dress up based on the setting of the book. The event will culminate with a parade featuring favorite book characters on March 8.
Monday, March 4 - Oh the Places You'll Go - Dress-up day for picture day! Looking good everywhere we go!
Tuesday, March 5 - Abuela - clothing from your heritage
Wednesday, March 6 - Murphy's Ticket - favorite sports team
Thursday, March 7 - The Tree Lady - wear green

The following dates will be early release days for our Elementary campuses.
School will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.
Please plan to pick up your student by 12:00 on these days.
Please communicate with the teacher if there is a change to the pick-up arrangement.
We will have a lunch time on that day for students at school.

State of Texas 2017-2018 School Report Card
The State of Texas 2017-2018 School Report Card for Boyd Elementary has now been released, and posted to the Allen ISD Accountability website (http://www2.allenisd.org/ratings).
This is a report required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. The information contained in the School Report Card is required by state law and is briefly described in the “School Report Card Definitions,” also available on the Allen ISD Accountability website. If you have any questions concerning the School Report Card, please let us know. Thank you for your continued support of Boyd Elementary.

In order to comply with entry requirements for 7th Grade, your student will be required to have the following immunizations:
- Tdap (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis)
Turn in proof of immunization as soon as possible. If requirements are completed between now and the end of school (May 2019), then a copy can be turned into the to the Boyd Elementary office.
