Dear Heritage Families

Hello Heritage Families,

It is hard to believe that we are already in the second quarter of school. It was great to have the opportunity to meet with many of our families during parent/teacher conferences last month and get the chance to share about your child's academic and social progress.

As we look ahead to the holiday season, please know that we are so grateful to work together to foster a love of learning for our students and continue establishing a positive and safe environment for our bears and cubs.

Love,

Dr. Megan Sutton & Mrs. Jessica Hanks

Security Protocols

All guests attending the assemblies must go through our Raptor Visitor System. This can be a lengthy process, so in the interest of time and avoiding a long line, we are offering the option to complete a pre-check with Raptor the week of the assemblies. This will include a quick check-in at the office with a photo ID present for each guest that is planning to attend.

In order to pre-check:

  • You will need to come by the office during office hours, Monday 11/7- Thursday 11/10, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

  • You can get your badge at a table near the front entryway if you have pre-checked in. Please have your photo ID ready to ensure a quick check-in process.

Our doors will open at 8:05 am for all guests who want to attend. We kindly ask that if you plan on attending the second assembly, wait until 8:45 am to ensure that our first assembly guests can get through the line in a timely manner.

Please exit through the main office to be signed out when leaving the premises.

RSVP

We hope to ensure that we have the most accurate and up-to-date information for our upcoming celebration. Please take a moment to complete the Veteran’s Day Form, which includes the interest in our pre-check system.

We are looking forward to celebrating and honoring our Veteran’s next week!

Heritage Intermediate Office Team

New Safety Protocols

Starting this week, we will implement a new security protocol for anyone entering the building for the remainder of the school year. Before entering, you will be asked to show your state-issued ID to the camera above the doorbell. Our office team will then run a quick background check through our raptor system before you will be allowed to enter the building. You will no longer be allowed into the building without an ID present. We know that this may be an inconvenience; however, the safety of students and staff is always our main priority. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and attention to this matter.

Heritage Intermediate Breakfast & Lunch Menu

We encourage all families to fill out the Free & Reduced Lunch form. Not only could you qualify for a free or reduced lunch rate, but this provides our district with the information it needs to secure Title 1 funds.

We have included a PDF of the Free and Reduced Lunch Application and also have paper copies available in the office. We will also have these available at Popsicles with the Principals, Kindergarten Orientation and Meet the Teacher Night.

The application can seem confusing, so if you would like us to help you fill it out-please call our office. We would be happy to help you ensure you are getting your best lunch rate!

Birthday Treat Policy Updated

Birthdays are special to your child and we want them to enjoy this occasion. At school, each teacher can decide how to handle classroom celebrations in a way that respects the instructional time and learning needs of all the students.

You are welcome to send non-edible birthday treats into your child’s classroom to celebrate their birthday if you choose.
