Mrs Burnell's Art Challenge
The artwork
This is a wall hanging to celebrate ‘Spring’ made from artificial flowers with wooden wording. It is hanging in my living room.
I chose it as I loved the Spring flowers and it brings a touch of the outside, in.
During lockdown I have been undertaking a course about ‘Hygge’ which is a way of living and learning in the moment, appreciating nature and creating a cosy, comfortable environment that promotes emotional well-being. I would love to create my own Spring flower wreath with actual flowers when I can.
The challenge
Make a four seasons sculpture. Use a cube shaped box, cover it and decorate each side with nature or pictures relating to Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. If your box has an opening at the top, such as a tissue box has, you could keep things in it too. It could stand on a desk or dressing table and be functional as well as beautiful.
