Keller High School Wins District UIL CX Debate Championship
Craghan and Smith won first place and will advance to State to be held in Austin at UT, March 18-19. Rios and Keating won 4th, making them an alternate to State. Their points together took the overall championship.
Voices of Central Places Third in Bloomington Gold Show Choir competition
Central High School's Voices of Central Show Choir travelled to Bloomington, Minnesota last weekend to compete in the Bloomington Gold Show Choir competition. Their show, "Mean Girls" was an obvious crowd favorite and garnered the People's Choice Award for the day.
In addition, senior Mikki Hankins was named Outstanding Performer for VOC's show and sophomore JT Durrwachter was named the Outstanding Male Soloist for the entire competition.
In finals Saturday evening, VOC was named 3rd runner-up. (FULL RESULTS)
VOC looks forward to competing at the North Texas Show Choir Invitational in February, and the Eaton Invitational in March. They will also present their show as part of their own Lone Star Invitational Show Choir Competition on February 27th.
