Principal's Message

Dear Edison Families,

EdisonNation absolutely rocked this year’s Reindeer Run – not only smashing our previous attendance record but taking the whole thing and winning this year’s district challenge! #BackToBack

Our success would not be possible without the leadership and support from ASB; thanks to Amanda Rayos, Emily Sanchez, Jayleen Catsaneda, Jasmine Vazquez, Celeste Soto, and their ASB Advisors, Mrs. Rivera and Mr. Lopez.

At a time when things outside of our EdisonNation can be a bit divisive, it's moments like these, traditions like this one, that unite rather than divide, and remind us what’s most important. Thank you for continuing to be a part of our tight knit community. I look forward to seeing everyone who can make it out early tomorrow morning #StrongerTogether.

And even more to celebrate – congratulations to 4th grader Keriya Lek, this year's Edison Academy Spelling Bee winner. A special nod to Emma Carlson, 1st grader, who took the runner-up spot this year -- you’ll get’em next year Emma! Keriya moves on to compete in our District Spelling Bee on January 22. Once again, thank you to all of our participants who studied and worked so hard this year.

Community Survey: Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

We need your input -- our District’s LCAP review and update depends on the input of our community, parents, students, teachers, other school personnel, bargaining units, administrators, tribal, and advocacy groups.

The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) provides funding for districts and schools. LCFF requires school districts to focus on the eight key areas (priorities) and review and update a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP):

1. Basic Services

2. Implementation of State Standards,

3. Parent Involvement

4. Student Achievement

5. Student Engagement

6. School Climate

7. Course Access

8. Other Student Outcomes.

Thank you for completing this survey no later than January 24, 2022. Take the survey today: LCAP Survey

Students Presenting Symptoms at Home -- Please Contact Our Health Office

In an effort to maintain a healthy school environment and to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we ask that all parents screen their child for COVID-19 symptoms each morning before they send them to school, and keep them at home if they are sick using our Daily Checklist for Families.

This shared responsibility is critical to our ability to keep everyone safe, healthy and attending in person each day.

Please report your child’s illness with details of all symptoms to our health office at 909-984-5618. Our Health Office will follow up on all students that are at home with COVID-19 symptoms.
