Ms. Crisp's Weekly Newsletter

What's Happening This Week?
Hi all! Excited for another awesome week of school with your fabulous students!
It's come to my attention that even though I have been creating newsletters and sending them out each week, they have not been delivered consistently by the Smore mailing system. I apologize! I will now send my newsletter out through a link in a regular email - that should be a little more consistent.
When making transportation changes for your student, please make sure to use our new Dismissal Manager! A yellow flyer went home in your student's folder with information about it (if you need another one, just let me know - I have extras). You should have received an email with your login information and instructions on how to use it. So far, it's been very successful! The school will stop accepting notes and phone calls detailing dismissal changes on November 1st, so make sure you know how to use the dismissal manager now!
As a reminder, Friday is an early release day! Early release should be old hat for your students at this point, but please make sure everyone knows how they'll be going home!
Check out the 'What Are We Learning' section below to see how we'll be making the most of this week in our classroom! As always, email, call, or text with any questions or concerns you have. It's going to be a great week!
What Are We Learning This Week?
- Wit & Wisdom (Literacy): Continuing our Exploration unit with nonfiction, artwork, and literature - exploring ways people explore the sea.
- Reading Groups: Beginning this week, several students from all third grade classes will begin piloting our reading groups, focusing mainly on phonics!
- Science: Beginning the muscular and skeletal systems!
- Math: Data collection and different kinds of graphs!

Wish List
We can always use more snack! Some great snack options are:
Goldfish
Cheez-its or Cheese Nips
Animal crackers (not frosted)
Veggie straws
Pretzels
Fruits and veggies (dried or otherwise)
Individually packaged snacks, like granola bars or portion bags of popcorn
- Any kind of healthy snack that I can give out to the whole class!
We have no food allergies, so anything goes so long as it's healthy! Thank you for your generosity!
