Vaccination Cards

If your student was vaccinated at school their vaccine card will be sent home in an envelope

with their name on it on Monday 12/13. Their vaccine information has been updated in

IMMTRAC, the state's record keeping database, as well as skyward, the school’s record

keeping database. A copy of their vaccination card is also on file in their cumulative folder at

school.

If you have any questions please feel free to call the nurse’s office at 512-386-3903. Please be

on the lookout for the vaccine cards on Monday in your students backpack. (Absent students

will take home their card the next preceding day they are at school).

Thank you,

Nurse Jess

December Art Update

Collins artists have been working well to create original art. Kinder through first grade has been discussing the elements of art and how those are like ingredients to express ourselves. Second grade through fourth grade students studied winter landscapes by Kandinsky and Van Gogh and created their own winter landscapes while practicing oil pastel blending techniques. While our fifth graders have studied birch trees and learned oil pastel blending techniques to show values of their chosen colors.

Lost & Found

We have a lot of jackets in our lost and found! Classes will visit the lost and found next week so that our lost items are returned to their owner. We will donate all lost and found items on December 16th. If you would like to come visit the lost and found, you can do so after school beginning at 3:30PM. Please ring the front bell for assistance.

Dismissal

Thank you to all our parents for adjusting to our new dismissal line up for car riders. We appreciate you lining up along Apogee Road as Finnial Road and Moonbeam Road (behind the school) remain closed.

Please make sure you have your student's car tag displayed in your dashboard at pickup. If you need an additional car tag, please visit our front office and present your ID to be issued a new one.

  • If you are going to change how your child goes home, please communicate this with the front office by 2:00PM
  • If you are going to pick your child up from school before dismissal, please pick them up no later than 2:30PM. To ensure the safety of our students and that everyone gets home, we will not pull students from classrooms after 2:30PM.
  • Parents are prohibited from pulling a student off the bus at dismissal.
  • Students will be released during the school day only to persons listed in Skyward.
