We are excited to announce we will be returning to P.S.68 full-time on Monday, September 13 2021 for an entirely in-person learning experience.
We will be in communication with our school community through our PS 68 website, Google Classroom and emails.

The last day of school for students is Tuesday, June 27.
Staff members will be at all entrances to supervise students entering and/or leaving the building.
All family members must wear a face covering when on school property. This includes the schoolyard and on all sidewalks around the school building. Families must follow all guidelines and directives in order to maintain social distancing. Procedures are subject to change as per CDC guidelines.
Arrival 8:05 Daily
Doors will open at 7:35 (not before) For Grades K - 5
Pre-K 8:10 am
Arrival through exit 9 (Seneca Ave). One family member is allowed to escort students to the classroom door for the first month of school.
Kindergarten
Students will enter the building through Exit 13 (parkside). Teachers will pick up students and escort them to the classroom.
Grades 1-5
Grades 1 and 2: Exit 14 - Students will go directly to class.
Grades 3,4 and 5: Exit 11 - Students will go directly to class.
Dismissal 2:25 pm Daily
Pre-K 2:15 pm Dismissal at Exit 9 (Seneca Ave.)
Kindergarten 2:20 pm Dismissal at exit 10 (parkside). Teachers will dismiss students at marked location by class.
Grades 1-5 2:25 pm dismissal at designated exits. Teachers will dismiss students at marked location by class

Students will take a breakfast upon entering the building each morning before going up to their classroom. Grab-and-go breakfast meals will be “cold” and prepared by our cafeteria staff each day.
Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria during their assigned lunch period. Individually packaged hot meals as well as cold grab and go lunch meals will be available to all students. Students are also permitted to bring their own lunch if preferred.
School lunch will be preceded or followed by recess, weather permitting.
Learning Platforms
PS 68 will continue to use NYCDOE Google Classroom as our main learning platform.
We will also utilize Zoom and Google Meets for whole and small group virtual teaching and learning.
All current students will keep their devices in an effort to provide equity and access to all students.

Health And Safety
Following updated guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health (NYDOH), the DOE, and in consultation with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) has the following protocols in place:
mandatory use of face coverings for all individuals while in the building
3-feet physical distancing protocols between students in instructional spaces
6 feet of physical distancing maintained in common areas, during in-school meals, when mask removal is required, and at all times between adults and between adults and students.
Hand sanitizing dispensers throughout the building
Custodians will sanitize school building on a nightly basis with an electrostatic sprayer that is CDC approved and cleaning and disinfection of all high touch surfaces
All instruction will be in-person for the start of the 2021-2022 school year
