Free Breakfast and Lunch This Year!
We are pleased to share that breakfast and lunch will remain free again this year for all students. Making sure that students have eaten breakfast either at home or at school will help set them up for success as they are learning new things.
Welcome Alicia Nelson to our office!
Ms. Nelson is training to take over as our lead secretary when Mrs. Bengtson retires in October. Alicia was previously located at the RSU#18 Central Office before deciding to join CPS. We are grateful to have another smiling face to greet the community. If you're visiting school, please stop in to the office to say hello!
Morning Drop Off & Afternoon Pick Up
Our morning drop off routine is similar to last year with one minor change. You still enter through the access road on the north side of CMS, and then you will proceed to the walkway to the front entrance of China Primary School. You'll see staff members waiting there for students to get out of their vehicle.
We ask that when you're here in the morning, you stay vigilant to ensure student safety during morning drop off, watching for other vehicles that may be parking or leaving. We also ask that you participate in the drop off instead of parking and walking your child in because it works well for our students, and the sooner that we start the routine, the easier it will be to follow. Rest assured that we'll have additional staff on duty for the first week as students familiarize themselves with our morning routine.
Please wait at the access road gate until 7:30, at which point you'll be directed to the drop off spot. This will reduce traffic waiting in front of parking spaces prior to the start of the day.

Updates from our PTO...
Updates from the China Schools PTO
Our first meeting of the year will be Thursday September 7th at 6pm on Google Meet. We will be approving the 23-24 budget and getting ready for Trunk or Treat and our annual Craft Fair! We hope we see you there!
A huge thank you to those who contributed to the PTO with our annual “unfundraiser”. We also would like to say thank you to all who donated to the Darlings Ice Cream Truck during the CPS Open House- an extra sweet treat to start the year on a high note!!
