PROM DRESS GUIDELINES
As our female students search for a dress to wear to SBA-sponsored formal events, and in particular Prom, we have put together certain guidelines. These guidelines have in mind the training of our young ladies in modesty, making wise choices, and exercising good judgement in what they wear. The objective of modesty is to refrain from wearing clothing that can cause others to stumble, whether intentionally or unintentionally. With this in mind, here are Silverdale’s dress guidelines:
Dress Guidelines for Junior/Senior Prom and Formal Events
Front should be modest showing no cleavage.
Strapless is acceptable as long as no cleavage is showing.
Back of dress or blouse should be no lower than the middle of the back.
No dresses shorter than 2 inches above the knee
Bare Midriff dresses and dresses with cutouts have to be approved by the administration ahead of time
If your student is uncertain about appropriate attire, please have them show a picture of the dress to Mrs. Ioannidis to receive approval. Consequences for noncompliance could result in them not being able to participate in the event.

ATHLETIC NEWS - UPDATED
1. We are pleased to offer all Silverdale students free admission to home games in all sports (excluding post-season play per TSSAA rules and the Powderpuff game). Students must present ID's in one of 2 forms: Either the actual ID or a picture of the CURRENT school year ID at the gate of home athletic events. Students who do not provide this will need to pay gate admission.
2. Want to know what is going on with Silverdale Athletics? Download the new “Silverdale Athletics” App in Google Play or App Store.
Benefits of app:
You/grandparents can see schedules, rosters, directions to game locations from the app in 2 different formats.
Parents will submit scores from the game to the app from the stands and the app will “alert” followers of final game scores.
You can see a "Daily view" and see what athletic events are scheduled that day.
Alerts about game changes and cancellations will come directly to your phone.
3. Athletic Admission Passes are available for purchase. There are many different levels from Lifetime to Senior Partner. To get a pass, pick up a form at either reception desk or here.
CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT NOTIFICATION
REMINDER: The convenience of Continuous Enrollment was live as of January 2018! Your child is now conveniently re-enrolled each year without lifting a finger. Should anything change, all you need to do is schedule an appointment with your child’s principal and complete a withdrawal form no later than March 15th.
The $240 re-enrollment fee will be billed to your account annually on March 16th.
Tuition will automatically be billed via RenWeb.
Failure to withdraw before March 15th will incur a 50% charge of the upcoming school year’s tuition.
Thank you for entrusting your child's education to us. We consider it a privilege to be part of your family's life!

and thine ears to the words of knowledge.”

PARENT PRAYER GROUP
Come join us at the Parent Prayer Group every week on Tuesday between 2:00-3:00pm in Room 114 of the Student Ministry Building across the creek. Feel free to drop in at any time, for just a few minutes or the whole hour. This group will be praying specifically for our Academy, our faculty and staff, our students, and our parents. Kelli Preast and Angela Tumlin, two of our SBA parents, lead this group.
We are excited about this opportunity and would love to have you join us. Let us know if you have any questions.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
It’s time to send in those Box Tops! Send your Box Tops in a baggie labeled with your homeroom teacher’s name so that your student’s class will get the credit. Please remember to cut on the dotted line to make it easier for volunteers to attach it to the template. The spring deadline is Friday, February 22nd, 2019.
Thanks,
