Four Years for their Future!
If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people.
-Chinese Proverb
When faced with the daunting challenge we as educators face on a daily basis, we have to keep in mind that each day is precious! The reality is we only have four brief years to plant the educational "seeds" that will serve our students for a lifetime. As I have the pleasure of circulating around our school I see educators teaching life skills, coping strategies, academic rigor, study habits, etc...most importantly I see educators teaching students to think. This is the skill that will help them plan for a lifetime! Thank you!

So Help Me Algebra!
Mrs. Dudrey's Algebra I classroom was transformed into Algebra court on Friday complete with a court recorder (Victoria Vejar), a bailiff (Vinny Faler) a judge (Mariana Medina), a prosecuting attorney (Kamber Lustre), a defense attorney (Codi Rowan), and a jury (Caleb Henry, Marco Holland-Gonzalez, Kyra Lustre, Alexis Resendez-Hernandez, and their teachers), and witnesses (Gavin Stout and Jose Vega). The burden of proof was to determine if a relation was in fact a function. Throughout the course of the trial and the delibration of the jury, this was proven. Great job with a creative, formative assessment to determine all of the students knowledge! Ask Camille for more details, or click this link or press play on the box above.
