How This Works ...
- To be eligible, you must be a Chamber member in good standing (except for Event of the Year)
- Nominations will be accepted from Chamber members only
- Once finalists are announced (mid February), voting will be open to the general public – one vote per person per category
- Awards will be presented at our 2nd Annual Gala scheduled for March 23, 2013
General guidance / criteria: In keeping with our mission, ideally nominees are involved in promoting and supporting our Chamber, its members and/or our community, participate in or otherwise support our committees, chamber meetings and events, through attendance, volunteering or donations of goods &/or services. Nominees should be recognized leaders in our community in their category(ies).
Specific Categories & Additional Criteria
Business of the Year
Sets a great example in one or more of: marketing/PR; customer service; employee training/programs; quality/variety of product or service mix; attracting visitors &/or businesses to our community.
Citizen of the Year
A significant contributor to our community, whether by way of time, leadership or otherwise. May be involved in multiple projects or groups or significantly involved in one. Sets a great example of selfless, inclusive & inspiring behavior.
Community Partner of the Year
Should be a non-profit organization or public, educational or tribal agency or body (or branch/department of one). Sets a great example of working cooperatively with and supporting other community organizations/agencies/members.
Event of the Year
Any community event is eligible. Should promote or otherwise benefit our community and/or its members through one or more of: charitable fundraiser; attracting tourists/visitors to our area; benefiting local businesses and/or community members. Well run, organized and publicized as an enjoyable experience for participants, who are left with a positive impression of our community. We will also consider $ raised (for charity or local economy), # of participants (individuals & groups/businesses), # of out of town participants and publicity generated for our community or community-benefiting cause.

Best Customer Service
You know it when you experience it! Consistently sets a great example for exceptional customer service and has a reputation for such.
True to brand and marketing goals. Inviting to customers and passersby. Improves the look and feel of the block/area in which it is situated. Positively reflects upon our community.
