Dates, Times, and Location
Discovery Education will provide three training opportunities with breakout sessions for all three techbooks: math, science, and social studies.
The trainings will be held from 4:00-5:30 at Booker T. Washington Learning Center on the following dates:
January 30th
February 26th
March 19th
Participants who attend all three dates will earn .5 academic/content CEUs. Please scroll to the bottom of the flyer for make-up opportunities.
Discovery Education will be providing pizza for participants also! So, please register in advance so we will know how much food to purchase.
Getting Started with Math Techbook
Rediscover mathematics! Discovery Education Math Techbook™ contextualizes math learning and provides digital tools to help students develop lasting math proficiency! In this introductory course, participants experience the Discover-Practice-Apply learning cycle model and investigate the engaging resources embedded in Discovery Education Math Techbook™. Participants explore technology enhanced interactives, videos, the Math Tools and Apply activities as well as connect rich learning opportunities to the Standards for Mathematics using the Achieve the Core Best Practices.
This session is designed for math teachers in grades 6-8 and high school Math 1, 2, and 3.
Getting Started with Discovery Education Science Techbook
This session is designed for science teachers in grades K-12.
Explore the World with Discovery Education Social Studies Techbook
This session is designed for social studies teachers in grades 6-8.
