A Message From Dr. Stabler -
Dear Abbotts Hill Families:
Thank you for a great school year opening! I am so proud of our students and their families for making the necessary adjustments to meet their student’s needs and the students are engaging in their lessons. I am proud of our teachers and staff as well. In Kindergarten, First and Second Grade we are offering online class meetings for those students who have devices at home and optional small groups. We also are providing packets for K-2 parents who have requested them. There are also bins in front of the school entrance. Our Third, Fourth and Fifth grade teams are providing quality online lessons. Please continue to provide feedback, it is very much appreciated.
I am pleased to announce that we have some great additions to our school team. Our new team members were carefully selected based upon their prior work experience and expertise in their assigned positions. Each team player is sharing their talents with our students and school community each day. Please welcome:
First Grade Teacher: Amanda Simon; Second Grade Teacher: Samaria Trimble; Fourth Grade Teacher: Ashley Rivers; Fifth Grade Teacher: Amanda Witmond; IRR Teachers: Kaylee Coleman, Monica Ellerbe and Lauren Newman; Clinic Aide: Sumudi Perera; Speech: Lisa Laverde; Instructional Support Teacher: Leigh Abeling; and Psychologist: Emily Lee.
Another welcome goes out to our new School Governance Council members: Parent member Mrs. Ryan and Staff member Mrs. Eberhardt. Thank you for serving on our SGC.
Thank you to our past PTA Board Members and new Board members for 2020-2021. Our Co-Presidents are Sarah Gardner and Liz Lehnertz and our new Treasurer is Lara Barker. We appreciate all that you do! Please join our PTA if you have not already done so.
We look forward to celebrating our 20th Anniversary. Together We Make A Difference.
A Message from Mrs. Consolo
Thank you all for making last week a great start to our school year 2020-2021! We have really enjoyed seeing our students smiles and excitement during our online learning sessions. We are all eager to learn and work together. This will be a great year! A heartfelt thank you goes to our parents/guardians for all that you have done to prepare your student(s) for school!

Attention Parents!!!
Your student will participate in Reading and Math iReady Diagnostic. Reading will begin this week and Math will be given next week. K-2 will spend 15 minutes/ 3-5 will spend 20 minutes a day until they complete the diagnostics. iReady Diagnostic should be completed independently by each student. We will use this information to identify each students strengths and weaknesses. The program will develop an individualized path based on your child’s needs.
Tips for a successful testing environment:
-Use headphones to cancel background noise to help your child focus
-Remind your child to take their time and do their best
-Celebrate daily the hard work your child did on the diagnostic
-When taking reading, remind your child to read everything carefully and listen carefully
-When taking math don’t forget a pencil and paper to work problem
-Reach out to the your child’s teacher if you have any problems

Welcome back Jaguars! We hope everyone had a great summer. Reminder - we are meeting with PE classes for grades 3-5 remotely on Teams. Students in grades K-2 will find their assignments on Seesaw under their grade level. In order to complete and turn an activity in, the student should click on , "add response", and click the green plus sign.

Thank you for your continued patience.

This program will be taught to all students weekly by their homeroom teachers starting the first week of school. For more information about the district program click here.
