Third grade: 80's. Fourth grade 90's. Fifth grade: 2000's. Tuesday is Peace Out to Drugs: wear tie dye and peace signs. Wednesday is Your Choices are the Key to Your Dreams: wear your PJs. Thursday is Team Up Against Drugs: wear your favorite team wear. Friday is Friends Help Friends Be Drug Free: twin day.
Candy Man orders have arrived and are available for pick up tomorrow. You can pick up your items MONDAY, OCT 26th 9 am -10 am OR 4:30-5:30 pm. Simply pull into large carpool/bus lot and call the front office. We will bring it out to you.
Also on Monday we will be sending home report cards with Cohort A 4th & 5th graders. Please sign & return the envelope.
Don't forget to join us on Wednesdays at 1 pm for our optional enrichment class via Teams. This week students will be listening to a story and doing Pumpkin art. Students will need either a pumpkin or paper and markers.
On November 2, all 4th and 5th graders (Cohort A & B) will return to face to face instruction for four days (M, T, TH, & F). We will be glad to have all our students back on campus. Wednesdays continue to be remote for all students.
Please remind your child to wear their masks at all times on campus, wash hands frequently and practice social distancing. If your child is not feeling well, it is best to keep them home. If they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please notify the school and we will help you determine next steps. Please be aware of the new COVID-19 restrictions. We are no longer able to accept rapid test results, test results must be PCR. Also if anyone in the household (parents, siblings, etc.) are showing COVID-19 symptoms, the entire family is excluded from school. I have attached the most recent update of the NC Strong Schools Public Health Toolkit as well as an updated screening graphic. If you have any COVID-19 questions or concerns, please make sure that you contact our nurse, Mollie Sammons or Page Highsmith (principal & COVID-19 contact). We will be glad to help you. When students are quarantined, it is imperative that they continue to complete their assignments remotely in order to minimize learning gaps and avoid negative impact on grades.
