Calling all K-5 Math Teachers!

Increase Your Number Sense Knowledge and Confidence

The teaching of mathematics in K-5 is truly the most critical time for exemplary and intentional teaching. Additionally, our standards now demand that as teachers we think more deeply about how we slowly and methodically assure our students have these conceptual understandings mastered at these levels. If you are a K-2 teacher and never really thought of yourself as a mathematics teacher or would like to increase your confidence level, this is the session for you.

The workshop day will explore:

  • the latest shifts in expectations for teaching math at grades K-5.
  • how to embed rigor and identify levels of DOK in your teaching and assessments.
  • embedding the math process standards in your instruction.
Join Laurie Ferry, the CIESC Director of Professional Learning, as she guides participants through these takeaways and much more on Wednesday, January 10 at the Southern Indiana Education Center.
