Infants need 14-15 hours of sleep a day! That's alot teenagers only need 8.5-9.5 hours of sleep a day. Some of you may be thinking well I get more than that sometimes and I'm still tired. Well that's bec you started a new sleep cycle so if you sleep an hour more than you need you have to finish that cycle so your not tired. Same for adults but they can go with less sleep not much they need 7-9 hours of sleep so not that much different from teenagers.

How does sleep affect me in school? 11-18 year olds need around 8.5-11 hours of sleep a night. If you are ages 5-11 then you need 11-12 hours of sleep a night. If you don't get enough sleep at night you will be more sluggish and more likely to not pay attention in class. When you fall asleep in class you can get in trouble. So get plenty of sleep.
