Dr. Robert Campman, Assistant Principal (rcampman@hhsd.org)
Today marks the start of our school's five-week food drive to help combat food insecurity in Hatboro and Horsham. Yesterday, all classes viewed a video featuring our fifth grade student leaders who shared information about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. Campman visited the three local food pantries we are supporting and interviewed the pantry coordinators about their volunteer work. Students learned who we can each make a difference in our local community.
This week, we are focused on collecting breakfast items - oatmeal, cereal, peanut butter and jelly. Your children can bring donations to their classroom. Items will then be collected and sorted by our fifth grade leadership team. The class who collects the most items each week wins a special prize. This week's winner will enjoy Goofy Games with Mrs. Ehling, grade 2 teacher.
Special thanks to the students in Mrs. Lloyd's, Mrs. Ehling's, and Ms. Green's classes for making cards for our school board members in honor of School Board Appreciation month. The cards were presented at last evening's meeting.
