WHITE OUT
Awesome Alum
One of our former students, Brian Siceloff, came to speak to Mr. Randy Young and Ms. Kristy Maxwell's broadcasting classes last week. He is one of the video coordinators for Samaritans Purse (Billy Graham's ministry). He has won several awards for his documentaries, and we are so very proud of him and the work he has done! Please watch the clip of his work.

Math Stations
Ms. Amber Niswonger's students work in stations completing three different tasks. One group works on a transformation puzzle. Another group collaborates on constructed response questions while the third group practices individual skills on IXL.
Teacher Tip
While visiting Ms. Evie Stewart's room this week, I noticed some rubber bands on the legs of student desks. I asked her for more information, and she shared that the bands are good for foot fidgeting. She also shared an article for more info.
I tried the bands and loved them!
Do YOU have a cool teacher tip?
If so, please share with me so I can share with everyone!
GAP Therapist Mallory Rucki
GAP Therapist Denise Hagan
GAP Community Support Worker Alexis Harden
Meet your GAP team!
GAP therapists help children and families work through personal issues like anger management, depression, anxiety, suicidal thinking, self-harm, self-image issues, relationship problems, stress management and addiction. Students are seen on campus but can also be seen by a psychiatrist at their main office. They work with the Community Support worker to holistically help children. We are grateful for their work with our students.
On Your Mark, CSET, GO!
Learning groups on Thursday focused on using the CSET model for argumentative writing. Start thinking about how you can use this model in your classroom to help students improve their writing. Look for additional resources to be shared soon and don't forget that each department has an ELA teacher who has volunteered to help.
