Mr. McGough's Update!
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the 40th Annual SGF Holiday Parade this year. As you may have heard, Moreau's Rockin' Round the Christmas Tree Float won not only "Best School Float", but "Best Theme Float" as well. Way to go! The weather may not have been so great, but we made the best of it and really enjoyed ourselves.

Kindergarten December News!
December is one of the most exciting months in Kindergarten! The children are learning so much in school and are really looking forward to the snow and winter activities. Your child will continue to work on sound spelling and writing in class.
Math has been really fun because we are experts with the numbers and 2D/3D shapes. We are working on Module 3 in Mathematics which is comparing length, weight, and capacity and writing our numbers to 20. We will also be learning about the December celebrations around the world and the beginning of a new season, WINTER!
The children will need to have all the First Trimester snap words, letters and their sounds mastered. Now that the letters have all been introduced, practicing letter formation and printing neatly from top to bottom is an important skill to work on nightly, as well as independently applying their letter sounds to read and write.
Please be sure to dress your child in layers and look for notes from your child’s teacher to see if we will be going outside to play in the snow or make a snowman!
A big THANK YOU to our parents and classroom helpers who have been graciously organizing parties and working in our classrooms this year. You may be getting a phone call to send in party supplies for our future celebrations. Thanks again for all that you do to make Moreau School a great Place to be!
Please remember to send in a snack with your child every day, practice the Snap Words, and read every night!
We look forward to a wonderful 2020 year!!!

What's Up In Second Grade!
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you’re ready for winter with all of the snow we’ve been having. Second graders have been working very hard and are looking forward to the excitement that December brings! We’re reading a lot of non-fiction books and doing some non-fiction writing.
In math, we are learning about place value and how to make numbers up to 1,000. We’re looking forward to celebrating a month of kindness and the spirit of giving to others.
We will be making gingerbread houses on December 18th at 1:30 and we welcome any family members who want to help out.
We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2020 is going to be a great year!

Hapy Holidays to all of the Moreau families!
A Thank You from Stephen Willette who was a Guest at our Moreau Veterans Night.
From the bottom of my heart I would like to say thank you for the overwhelming show of support and generosity. Together you raised $561.27 to support the “Faces of Veterans” photography project by Patriot Images.
From the very start of this journey twelve months ago, I have held firm to the idea that this whole thing isn’t a “me” thing but rather a “we thing.” It has and continues to take a team. It takes individuals like yourselves to come together and help support something so huge.
On behalf of myself, Patriot Images, and each veteran you just helped reach during the next leg of our journey, I want to say thank you.
Sincerely,
Stephen Willette
