The Mad Hatter

Background

The Mad Hatter is a character from Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland as well as Through The Looking Glass. Accused of "murdering the time", by the Queen of Hearts, the Hatter escapes decapitation by always having tea time. Time (normally referred to as a he) stopped himself at 18:00 (6:00pm) out of respect for the Hatter.

Definition

Someone who could be referred to as being mentally insane or crazy acting. Someone who is not mentally healthy.
