RHJ Weekly Update

December 4, 2022

Food Bank Drive

Rudolph Hennig's homerooms are working on a Food Bank drive to support the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank. We recognize that this can be a tough time of the year for families, and RHJ wants to support our community. Below is a link to the most needed items. Thanks for supporting our community by donating what you can.

Report Cards

The first EIPS Reporting Period for marks was the end of November. Student Report Cards are now available in the parent portal of PowerSchool. The Report Cards are a snap shot of their academics at that time, with the most up to date marks available through PowerSchool as they are regularly updated.

We have had a few students away lately and wanted to be sure that students and families know how they can see what learing and work they are missing when away. The best way for students to keep up to date when they are away from school is through their Brightspace. It is important to go past the Course page and look at the Content and Assignment pages.

We recognize that when students are away ill, their main priority is to rest and feel better. We just want to communicate to families that staff are using Brightspace to support student learning.

If you have specific questions, please reach out to the individual teachers.

Pay School Fees Online!

School fee information for the 2022-23 school year is now posted on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. All fees are due within 30 days of being posted. To access your fee information, simply log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal and go to “Student Fees.” There you can view your fees and pay them online.

Don’t forget to also log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal regularly throughout the year. Fees are often added to your child’s account to cover the cost of various school activities such as field trips, class projects, extracurricular activities fees and more.

If circumstances exist where you are unable to pay your fees, you can apply to have certain fees waived by submitting an Application for a Waiver of Fees. The application deadline is Dec. 15, 2022.

For more information about school fees, waivers and payment deadlines, visit www.eips.ca/schools/fees and https://www.rudolphhennig.ca/about/fees. Alternatively, contact Mrs. Margaret Tomkow at Rudolph Hennig at 780-998-2216.

Rudolph Hennig has joined with LunchBox to offer lunches for our students! Parents can order and pay online through the link below, and students pick up the lunches in the Raven's Nest Store in the first half of lunch.

LunchBox also bring some additional items to sell to students.

PC Children's Charity Breakfast Club

A reminder that we have our Breadkfast club in the morning. We have many students accessing it, which is a good thing! After the weekend's events, we just wanted to remind families that we are here to help and support.

Thank you so much to PC Children's Charity for the grant to help support our students with breakfast in the morning!
