Principal's Notes and Highlights
Happy Wednesday!
I am leaving this evening for a golf trip with my father-in-law and will be gone Wednesday evening through Sunday. This is an annual trip that we take with 16 family members and his high school buddies. This trip marks seven years I've gone and we are headed to Fort Myers, Florida.
That means I will miss our first basketball game. The basketball teams will kick-off the EBL season against Smith Elementary @ Smith tonight. The girls will play first at 5:30 p.m. Mr. Shipley will keep me posted. Go Huskies!
- We will have a Veterans Day convocation on Friday, November 10th. It will start at 8:00 a.m. As has been done in the past, we invite our student's family members who served/serve in the military to join us. Coffee and donuts will be available for them. We would like to recognize our honored guests at the convocation. I've included a form that we are asking you to fill out if they plan to attend. Please let me know if you have any questions.
- Kindergarten had "Career Day" on Tuesday. I've included a button with photos.
- It is my pleasure to share with you some very exciting news! Next Friday, the parents of The Linden Project Committee will be recognized by the Heritage Fund for winning the 2017 James A. Henderson Award for Fund Raising. This group of parents have been meeting almost every week for two years to raise money for our playground renovation. There has been a significant amount of work these parents have invested of their own time to ensure we meet our goal. It is wonderful that our community recognizes the incredible work they have done. Not only will they be recognized, but they will be receiving a check for $2,500 that will go towards the Linden Project! Those being recognized are Tracy Kiser, Stephanie Seaborne, Melissa Wilson, Jess and Paul Schnepp, Ashleigh Fisher, and Shawna Netser.
Have a great rest of your week!
