Week of February 1, 2016 - A Week
A time for reflection
I know I've said it before, but I will again; This transformation process will be a journey. To change the culture of school to one of engagement, success, growth, collaboration, and involvement will take a sustained and remarkable effort. We are on that path, and it is clear we have made progress.
Over the next few weeks we will see how much progress, and whether their are ways we could go faster, or if we're going too fast. I hope that we will have conversations that are full of pride, belief, and most importantly ideas.
There will be causes for celebration and consternation. Through it all, the most important thing to remember is that education is a human field. Humans are complicated, learning is hard, and relationships are prized - for students and adults.
I'm amazed by you daily, more so with each day. Keep up the good work, and we'll continue to make a difference.
Thanks for all you do to inspire me!

Shout Outs
The staff for throwing a schedule together for last Thursday that got students specials, teachers planning, and reading and math for all.
Kristie - for always being on the pulse of testing, adn finding ways to make it as seamless as possible.
The intermediate teachers and students - for bringing real pride to the spelling- I saw more conversation about it from all students, not just those who were selected.
