Athletic Contests
Sports Attendance - I want to be clear in my communication with families that we cannot allow for spectators at our athletic contests. We want to make sure that students continue to have an opportunity to play. If spectators show up we may be compelled to stop the season short, which would only harm the athletes.
The OHA and OSAA has mandated that no spectators can congregate at contests. This includes outside of the contest on the fence line or near the fence line. Eugene 4j will be providing campus security and Eugene Police support to enforce this mandate.
All Varsity contests will be live streamed at site TBA.
Our league officials have been instructed to stop contests if they see fans congregating at a fence line which could terminate the contest from continuing.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. We're slowly, but surely, getting closer to a return to normal. Hang in there.
Respectfully,
Greg Borgerding
In The Know
After March 5 no schedule corrections will be allowed for Trimester 3 unless initiated by a counselor, or administrator.
Please note that a schedule correction right now will not be impacted by a family’s learning path choice (same school online or same school hybrid) for trimester 3. All courses will be available to students whether they are participating in hybrid or staying online, however there may be some changes to the period in which the classes are on a student’s schedule.
Schedule correction requests will be evaluated by their impact on the following:
-Progress toward graduation
-Level of disruption to the student’s schedule
-Space availability
-General need
Schedule corrections at this time are only being made for the following reasons:
· Academic misplacement - as determined and initiated by the teacher/counselor.
· Missing a grade appropriate graduation requirement.
· Failure of a class (must retake) or missing a prerequisite class.
· A technical/clerical error (ex: class is on schedule twice)
Moving classes around from period to period is very difficult and is not advised. If you have an open period and need to fill it you need to choose a class that is offered in the same period you have open. As classes are adjusted some classes may become unavailable due to capacity and some may become available due to drops. These forms will be updated regularly based on enrollment in classes.
If requesting to drop a class please know that counselors may not allow a drop of a class that will impact a student's plans for graduation.
Requests are not guaranteed as some classes are at capacity. Please check StudentVue daily for changes. A counselor will notify you via your provided contact information as soon as possible if the change is not approved or unable to be completed.
