More on Fernan seeking STEM certification! 'Imagine' is step two.

STEM: Science, technology, engineering, and math, uses the engineering design process to guide students through project based learning.

'Imagine' is the next step. Students can now begin “imagining” or brainstorming their ideas for problem solving.

It’s really important for students to dig deep and come up with tons of ideas. Talking and collaborating with other students is so helpful!

Stay tuned for the next step!

Bus Riders: Is your child riding the bus to another location?

If your child is taking a different bus, or getting off at a different stop, please call transportation. For your child's safety, drivers need to know who is riding on their bus. You must call in advance to get permission for your child to ride a different bus or take a different route. Thank you!

Carnival news from our PTA!

Hello All,

Thank you so much to everyone that volunteered their time and/or baked goods for our first fundraiser of the school year; Fernan Fall Carnival. The entrance fee and snow cones raised $1273, the bake sale raised $428 and Jitterz donated $100 from their sales that morning. We raised $201 in our 50/50 raffle. The winner of the raffle was Susan Galloway who graciously donated her $100.50 back to the Fernan PTA. Most of the material/supplies to have the carnival was donated, so our only cost was $123 for the Jump for Joy bouncy house. That makes our net raised $1879!

Looking forward to our next fundraiser!

Start the experiment with predictions. What will happen when the candy pumpkins/corn are placed into the different liquids?

Next, one by one, place the candy pumpkins in the liquids and observe them. What's happening?

Finally, take the candy pumpkins out of the liquids to observe the changes. What did you notice? What did you wonder?
