Library Lady Leaks v. 6
Has it been a strange week or is it me?
*We have been busy in the library, but for some reason many memories are fuzzy. I vaguely recall doing place value with books from the Dewey sections.
*I remember that the cutest little girl with glasses was trying to get my attention and although my eyes were darting from student to student, her message was priceless...I took the library book home. I read the library book. I like reading now.
*I recall several students who earned their 2x2 tags this week after working on and editing their projects so that I would accept them as true summaries of their favorite books. They persevered and did not give up when Mrs. Baker did not accept their work initially. I love that spirit!
*A conversation with a fifth grader revealed that he is a plot junkie. This was a new term for me, but I love it. I later learned that he had had a conference with Mrs. Melissa Jones and he took her observations to heart.
*I overheard one student telling another that they love coming to the library because we always do fun stuff. That makes me happy because I want the children to love reading and the library.
