PUSD Students Lead State on CAASPP Science Assessments

Already ranking among the top three, K-12 school districts in California in English Language Arts and Math, PUSD students are setting the pace in Science according to results of the 2022 California Assessments of Student Performance and Progress. Visit the District website for details.

Millennium High School Hosts Inaugural Gratitude Potluck

Prior to Thanksgiving Break, Millennium High School held its first annual Gratitude Potluck November 17. All students and staff were invited to bring a dish to share that represented their ethnic, religious or cultural heritage. There was a delicious array of food traditions on display from Ukrainian meatballs to Filipino bibingka to Mexican tamales.

Winter Concert Season Starts December 6th

PUSD students will provide a great week of Holiday music starting December 6 at Alan Harvey Theater. Piedmont High School & Middle School Orchestras will perform December 6, Piedmont High School Symphonic & Jazz Bands on December 7, and Piedmont Middle School Bands on December 8. All performances at 7:00pm. Suggested donation of $5/adult. Visit District website for more information.

Filmmaker, Social Justice Advocate, Dr. Shakti Butler Visits PHS/MHS Students

Before taking the stage for the Education Speaker Series November 15, filmmaker and Founder & Creative Director of World Trust, Dr. Shakti Butler, visited with Piedmont/Millennium High School social justice student leaders. The group discussed the values that drove their work at school and in the community, as well as the systems of inequity in the world and the roles they can play in creating change.

PHS Girls Basketball's Trinity Zamora Signs with San Diego State

Great moment November 9 in the Piedmont High School Library as Highlander Girls Basketball's Trinity Zamora signed a letter of intent to attend and play basketball at San Diego State University.

Superintendent Search Update - Thank you to everyone who participated in one or more forums with Leadership Associates to provide feedback on desired qualities of PUSD's next Superintendent. Tri School Plan for Student Achievement - At its November 9 meeting, the PUSD Board of Education approved the Tri-School’s (Beach, Havens & Wildwood Elementary Schools) Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). The purpose of the SPSA is to create a cycle of continuous improvement of student performance and to ensure that all students succeed in reaching academic standards set by the State Board of Education. Wall of Honor - As Piedmont and the nation recognized its veterans November 11, PUSD invites the community to learn more about the Wall of Honor, an extension of the Ambassador Christopher Stevens Memorial collection at the Piedmont High School Library, honoring over 1,500 Piedmont service members.
